Each of our chocolates is available with 2mg THC & 2mg CBD or 4mg THC & 4mg CBD. Unlike other microdosed cannabis products, each chocolate is large enough to be savored. The Science

The process is a little more complicated than just putting cannabis into chocolates. First the active ingredients in the plant—known as cannabinoids– must be extracted. Here’s where things get complicated…
The cannabinoids we need, THC and CBD, are hydrophobic—meaning that they cannot be easily combined with other water-based ingredients.
We partnered with the industry’s leading scientists at SōRSE who have developed a proprietary process to create water-based emulsions with these difficult cannabinoids. This technology means that we can incorporate THC and CBD into Cloud11 chocolates with consistency and prioritize taste in your edible experience.

Stability for Consistent Dosing

Converting CBD & THC into water-soluble forms allows for seamless integration into Cloud11 chocolates. The result of this process is called an “emulsion,” amixture of at least two liquids that normally won’t mix by reducing the particle size of the functional ingredient (in this case, the cannabinoids THC and CBD).
A stable emulsion, one that doesn’t separate like salad dressing, is the result of a successful formula combined with specific processing that ensures product consistency and safety. This means Cloud11 chocolates will be homogenous, accurate, consistent, and maintain these qualities over their entire shelf life.

Bioavailability for Consistent Effects

Simply speaking, bioavailability refers to how much of the product’s intended active ingredients make it into your bloodstream. When ingested orally, cannabinoids like THC and CBD behave as an oil and can typically take one to two hours to reach the site of intended action with a very wide variation of uptake and excretion depending on how much food has been consumed (among other variables).
Emulsion technology breaks oil down into small particle sizes for even dispersal, which allows for greater absorption in the intestinal tract for a more consistent, biologically available product. This means that consumers experience the effects of products powered by SōRSE as early as eight minutes following ingestion.
